This elegant and classic wedding took place at Langdon Court hotel near Plymouth. This hotel has a truly picturesque setting and is just as gorgeous on the inside as it is on the outside, making it one of my favourite venues.
Bride Terri looks absolutely perfect in a floor length lace gown and her hair down in soft curls. With a strong contrast between Terri’s dark hair and light skin tone I wanted to avoid gong to dark or bright with the makeup colours, as they would overpower her complexion. So instead we went for pastel shades on the eyes with charcoal grey for a dramatic contrast and teamed this with a natural lip colour to balance out the look. When it comes to blusher less-is-more on pale skins and sugary pink tones are the most flattering shade, as they look so natural.
It was lovely to work with photographer Rebecca Roundhill again on this wedding – I especially love that top photo of Terri having her lipstick applied because she’s highlighted her face and kept the rest of the photo in shadow and it’s this cleaver way that Rebecca plays with the lighting that makes her photos so special.
